Project Chicken Coop

Since moving the horses onto Manor Farm this summer and seeing the chickens they sell we thought it might be a fun to keep them are selves
First thing we needed was a coop and looking at the price of them I though stuff that I will make one,

The first thing we needed was some wood, and that came by way of some old fence panel’s I found in work, took them apart and took them home and began to plan

All the wood safely stashed away

Found some old pallets that would work nicely as a base for the the chicken house

Then it was time to make up the run and frame, we are planing to keep two chickens but I have planed the house to suit four chickens

Then I used the old fence panel’s cut to size to make the roof and walls of the chicken house

On this side I have made the roof/side panel so it will open so we can clean it out and hopefully collect some eggs

I just need to make the back panel nesting boxes and perch and some mesh for the run and make a mesh door at the front and then we will be ready for spring

Finally got around to making the nest boxes

After nearly a year and some time to think we have decided to get some chickens this year, and we spent a fun day putting up the wire mesh

All we need now are some chickens
Edit 05.05.15 we got some chickens today
