I was up and about early this morning as usual had coffee and waved the kids off to school, Lynne and I took Ruby out for a nice walk around Arrowe Park where she got so muddy and I had to chuck her in the brook to wash her off, when we got home we had some lunch some bunch and then Lynne went off for a spray tan in preparation for Helen and Topsy’s wedding on Friday. After lunch we went and spent a couple of hours checking on Skye and what a lovely afternoon it turned out to be

Skye

When we got home we called into The Overchurch Pub for a nice pint, we went to a curriculum evening at the kids High School and we are feeling sorry for Cameron, he is going to be working hard over the next 8 months, school from 9am to 3.15pm then a hours homework club, he has to memorise 3 book, Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, and A Christmas Carol then he has 12 post 17th century poems, all for 8 and half hours of exams at the end of the year, then there’s the maths that a 16 years old really does not need, well not until they know what career path they are going down, lol some of the maths I couldn’t even pronounce never mind do the math, 6 hours of maths exams at the end of year, and then there is science well the kids will do OK in this lol it’s interesting and is still made up of course work and a final exam, Cameron has also got geography, health and social care, information technology, animal care and then compulsory religious education and physical education. The school has also advised that the kids go to school on Saturday mornings for extra lessons and revision help. PS kids keep up with social activities to, lol the school has failed in maths I can’t see that enough hours in the day.
I doubt that anyone from government or the education department will read this but I feel that there are going to be a lot of stressed worried kids at the end of the academic year, when they should be bright, confident and looking forward to the future. But maybe that what the powers that be want, thousands of bright, confident well read teenagers could really undermine the privileged few.
When we got home we had some dinner and then chilled out in front of the tv till it was time for bed
