Woke up early this morning and it had actually stopped raining, made our lunches and then went back to bed with my coffee, had the car again this morning and Lynne was going to see to Skye, absolutely freezing in work the heating system has packed up and it was like being outside but without the wind and rain, thankfully it was a busy day and time went quickly, finished work and drove home in the Micra and the battery light went out and the alternator started charging the battery, goodness knows why I will have to see what happens tomorrow lol typical now that I have ordered a new alternator, when I got in I cooked dinner and made tomorrow’s lunches, we also received a letter from the kids High School calling us in for a meeting over Heather’s attendance, are those people nuts and don’t they check records, she has been off for a week and a half with septic tonsillitis and really should not be back in school this week as she is still taking antibiotics, ooo I feel a grumpy letter coming on, spent the rest of the evening listening to music and watching YouTube videos till Lynne finished work, we chatted about our day while she had her dinner

At least Heather’s school cares about her attendance but they should check their records I agree there. Apparently my stepsons mother often gets letters from his school about his poor attendance but she just ignores them and the school seems powerless to enforce their truancy policy it’s so wrong really we have been to the dept of child safety, dept of education, the police and my mother in law wrote a letter to one of our politicians about her concerns when my stepson was 8 because he missed 50 days that year and does between 30 and 50 each year since he started school and still nothing was done and he is still missing lots of school we will see in a few weeks what this years total number of days missed is and how many of those where unexplained not that that will change anything the lawyers and courts don’t care either. Sorry for the long rant I get really frustrated by this and I wish I could change things to make my stepsons life better he needs what’s best for him which remains to be seen I always get more stressed this time of year as we have my stepson for 6 weeks and we get no support financially or otherwise and with me sick it’s making me more stressed. I hope Heather gets better quick Sending her more hugs lol. 🙂 .
