Sunday 19.02.17

Had a good nights sleep but was awake at 5.30am as usual but didn’t get out of bed till 6.30am, had coffee and spent some time checking and posting on social media, when Lynne got up we went to the farm and fed and watered Skye, then took Ruby out for a walk around Royden Park and up onto Thurstaston Hill, when we got home we made a nice bacon, egg and black pudding butty, we spent a lovely afternoon at the farm with Skye, we took Skye out for a hack up to Royden Park and she was so good in the traffic and with her first ever meeting with a miniature train, when we got back to the farm Heather gave Skye a good workout in the school while Lynne and I mucked out, we got home late afternoon and finished cooking dinner and after we had eaten and tidied we all chilled out in front of the tv till it was time for bed

We have a miniature train in Mackay when I was working we would have our childrens xmas party there each year our childcare kidlets loved going on the train it was wonderful to watch the children who were nervous to go on the train with thier parents the first time then get the confidence and then not want to get off after we would have lunch prepared by our chef and her husband would dress up as santa he would arrive on the train such a lovely day each year to chat and catch up with the children and their families out of the centre and not have to wear our uniforms which always would take our childcare children aback cause they were so used to seeing us in our uniforms which is always funny lol.

Royden Park had had the miniature trains for 40 plus years, the one Skye met is the larger one there is also a raised track with tiny replica working trains

I have very early memories of the smell of the little steam trains in the woods 🙂
