Tomorrow will be the anniversary of the day in 1989 I started my working life,
I started at Windsors of Wallasey a motor group, that was only down the road from where I lived, it was good to start with with a company with a good history
Of course it didn’t look like this when I started
What a great film I worked at the Wallasey site for just over 10 years from 1989 till 2000, and was great to see the old petrol station spent many hours serving fuel there when I was an apprentice
I have so many great memories and made some life long friends working at the Wallasey site, every Friday night was party night in the clubs and bars in New Brighton, Christmas eve was my favourite time, we had a half day in work, good breakfast in the morning, drinks in the board room with the bosses and then spent the afternoon and evening in the pub.
The buggers really set me up good and proper on my 18th birthday
In 1999 I starting working at the Heswall site, I was off the tools and started in the office, running the service and parts departments
After 27 years, 5 months, 7 days, 8 hours and 30 minutes I left the the company and started my new job and adventure at Johnsons SEAT Liverpool,

Working at Johnsons SEAT was an interesting experience, it was great to learn how big dealerships run, and how they get it wrong in a lot of ways, the small family run business can also learn a lot from the methods used by the big groups, that is something I took away with me

I was at Johnsons SEAT for 1 year, 9 months, 2 days, 9 hours, working between Liverpool and Preston before starting at my current position at Eastham Motors, absolutely love my job at Eastham Motors great colleagues and customers, we all work hard and have a laugh, it’s so nice not dreading going to work, but actually looking forward to it
