Wednesday 16.06.21

Had a fairly good night’s sleep, but I was awake early again, had coffee and then got myself ready for work, had a nice walk to the stables and brought Skye in for the day, when I got back to the car I headed off to the garage, we had a busy very busy day in work and the time just flew by, finished on time and on the way home I called into the stables and checked on Skye, she’s having a night in her stable, when I got home I had a nice curry for dinner, after we had eaten and tidied up we chilled out in front of the tv till I went up to bed, sat with the curtains open an watched the evening grow dark and the breeze in the trees, I was thinking about the events of the last couple weeks, the sudden untimely death of my dad and all of the crazy things like waiting for 7 days to find out dad’s cause of death, the police interviewing mum and my brother, barmy phone call with the town hall trying to register dad’s death, then what seemed like a mad rush to arrange the funeral, and then the funeral it’s self, the incident on the motorway causing it to be closed almost stopping family and friends from attending and actually stopped our humanist celebrant from making it at all, I’m going to blame my grandfather, he was always surrounded by crazy events and problems, it’s his legacy, I can just see them both looking down and dad saying with a smile “nice work dad 😊”
